Ecuador needed to attract, lets say, a higher income kind of tourist. What did we do? We didn’t launched a tourisim campaign, we developed an international art project.
The Feel Again Project gathered 18 interdisciplinary artists were invited to get up close with Ecuador’s culture and attraction, to then produce their own artwork. The result: “free advertising”, the work from the artists about Ecuador was featured in museums, magazines, and other specialized media. The journey was documented and was about to debut on Netflix (political issues didn’t allowed it) being the longest “commercial” to be on air “for free” in one of the most watched media at that time. As a result, not only the quality and quantity of tourists in Ecuador increased largely, we also ended up with a great art/chronic/tourism book.
